Coca-Cola Names Ajay Bathija As VP-Franchise Operations For South West Asia

Ajay Vijay Bathija has been appointed by Coca-Cola India as the vice president of franchise operations for Southwest Asia (SWA).

In a statement, Sanket Ray – President, India and Southwest Asia, Coca-Cola Company, said, “With his understanding of business, and growth mindset, Ajay has a proven track record of taking business to newer heights. We are hopeful that with his astute business acumen and collaborative approach he will further the organization’s purpose in the Southwest Asia region.” This includes markets such as Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka.

As per Coca-Cola Company, Bathija has worked there for close to 24 years and has experience in both franchise development and marketing. From 2018 to 2020, he served as Bangladesh's country manager and collaborated closely with the bottling partners to help Bangladesh expand. The most renowned musical franchise of the business, "Coke Studio," was successfully launched in Bangladesh under his leadership as Senior Director - Front Line Marketing in 2020. He also coordinated portfolio strategies, facilitated smooth commercial and marketing execution, and oversaw the company's global expansion.

The Coca-Cola Company produces Coca-Cola, sometimes known as Coke, which is a carbonated soft drink. More than 1.8 billion servings of Coke's beverages were consumed daily by customers in more than 200 countries in 2013.
