CrowdStrike Unveils New Singapore Hub in Asia

Separator

CrowdCrowdStrike unveiled its latest office in Singapore, positioning it as a pivotal hub for the company in Asia. This expansion emphasizes CrowdStrike's commitment to the region, doubling its Singapore facilities capacity, solidifying its standing as a cybersecurity frontrunner, and reinforcing its dedication to safeguarding organizations in Singapore and throughout Asia.

Headquartered in the United States and operating globally, CrowdStrike stands as one of the world's fastest-growing and most innovative security firms. With a clientele of over 23,000, spanning from small enterprises to prominent global brands and governmental bodies, CrowdStrike is pioneering AI-powered cybersecurity to proactively counter evolving threats and prevent breaches. The company's prominent CrowdStrike Falcon platform, top-tier incident response services, and esteemed cyber threat intelligence team have solidified CrowdStrike as a highly trusted cybersecurity brand.

The new office will feature training amenities open to CrowdStrike customers and partners. These resources aim to facilitate the exchange of best practices in contemporary cyber defense strategies and enhance the skills of cybersecurity professionals, empowering them to defend against threats targeting the region. This relocation follows significant business achievements for CrowdStrike in Asia. For the third quarter of fiscal year 2024, ending on October 31, 2023, CrowdStrike reported $81 million in revenue in the Asia Pacific (including Japan), marking a 36% year-over-year increase compared to the third quarter of fiscal year 2023, ending on October 31, 2022. The Asia Pacific region (including Japan) contributes 10% of CrowdStrike's total revenue.

Geoff Swaine, the vice president for the Asia Pacific and Japan region at CrowdStrike, highlighted the escalating cyber-criminal activity in Asia. He emphasized the necessity for businesses in the region, including countries like Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia, to adopt modern cybersecurity solutions and proactive defense strategies against adversaries. Swaine stressed the importance of countering these threats in light of a significant surge in average ransomware demands in Southeast Asia, which doubled to $8.5 million in recent weeks.

CrowdStrike recognized this requirement upon establishing its Singapore office in 2016 and has since expanded its team and business in the region. Throughout this growth, CrowdStrike has supported numerous businesses of varying sizes and across multiple sectors in transitioning from outdated, often signature-based security solutions incapable of safeguarding against modern cyber-attacks to AI-driven, intelligence-based cybersecurity platforms.
