Etihad Airways and Uzbekistan Airways have concluded a codeshare agreement enabling travelers to journey on one ticket to eight destinations in Uzbekistan via Tashkent.

The agreement will start on May 15, with the initial codeshare flights launching on August 9, 2026, in conjunction with Etihad’s new daily service from Abu Dhabi to Tashkent.

Through the partnership, Etihad travelers can connect from Tashkent to Samarkand, Urgench, Nukus, Termez, Fergana, Namangan, Andizhan, and Bukhara via Uzbekistan Airways flights. The contract also provides access to numerous global locations operated by Uzbekistan Airways.

Travelers flying with Uzbekistan Airways can connect to Abu Dhabi via Tashkent through Etihad’s daily service starting this summer. Both airlines are collaborating on a frequent flyer alliance between Etihad Guest and UzAirPlus to enhance reward choices for members.

Uzbekistan has become one of the expanding inbound travel markets in Central Asia. The nation draws travelers to sites associated with Silk Road heritage, such as Samarkand and Bukhara, as well as Khiva and the scenery of Karakalpakstan.

The collaboration also enhances links between Central Asia and the Middle East via Tashkent, the area’s biggest city.

“Uzbekistan is one of the most exciting markets in our network right now, and this agreement gives our guests something they’ve been asking for: Easy access to eight Uzbek cities on a single ticket while offering direct service to our beautiful home in Abu Dhabi," says Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways.

"We’ve found a strong partner in Uzbekistan Airways, an airline expanding its fleet and reach, and we’re looking forward to growing the relationship from here,” Arik adds.
