A Ministry of Finance report states that the Vietnam–Laos cooperation plan agreement, which was implemented between January and August, has achieved its objectives and produced significant outcomes.

With an emphasis on energy, mining, and transportation services, Vietnam's registered investment capital in Laos amounted to 322 million USD, which is six times more than it was during the same period in 2024.

Vietnamese companies have invested in 274 projects in Laos so far, totaling 5.82 billion USD in registered capital and around 3 billion USD in realized capital.  A large number of these initiatives are functioning efficiently.

Projects supported by Vietnamese aid to Laos have proceeded according to plan.  Numerous projects have already been finished, turned over, and put into operation as a result of the active coordination of project owners on both sides.

Two of the Vietnamese government's initiatives for the Lao equivalent are anticipated to be finished by 2025.  One of the five current projects has already been completed, while the other four are scheduled to be completed in 2026.
