HDI Global Appoints New Managing Director for Singapore Branch

HDIHDI Global SE undergoes leadership changes as Alex Tarantino is appointed Managing Director for HDI Global SE Singapore, succeeding Graham Silton who plans to retire in mid-2024 after a four-decade career. Following this transition, Andrew Cochrane will assume leadership of the liability division in Australasia. Tarantino, currently the Regional Underwriting Manager for Liability and Cyber in Asia Pacific, will retain his role until July 2024, after which he will take on the new position in Singapore.

Tarantino, who joined HDI Global SE in 2019, brings more than two decades of international underwriting experience from the UK, Canada, and Australia. His appointment as Managing Director in Singapore aligns with HDI's strategic objective to expand its footprint in the Asia Pacific region. David Hullin, HDI Global International Markets Board Member, expressed confidence in Tarantino's leadership, emphasizing the company's trust in him to further grow the brand and establish HDI as a prominent corporate insurer in the region.

As for Cochrane, currently the Liability Underwriting Manager in the Northern Region, he is set to assume the role of Underwriting Manager Liability Australasia in Sydney starting January 2024. Cochrane's career, initiated in London in 2002, has been dedicated to international liability brokerage covering Australia, Canada, Africa, and Latin America. Since joining HDI Global in 2019, he has played a pivotal role in expanding the liability segment and positioning HDI as a key player in the Australian market.

Stefan Feldmann, HDI Global APAC Head and HDI Global Australia Managing Director, commended Cochrane's contributions, stating, "Andy has been central to leading our success in New South Wales and supporting the development of the Queensland liability portfolio for HDI in Australia.
