During the meeting with the Thai delegation, Quang emphasized the increasing momentum in Vietnam–Thailand relations following the official visit of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam to Thailand in May 2026 and the visit of Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to Viet Nam in June.

He stated that the elevated discussions have established a strong basis for the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations to advance in a more meaningful and efficient way.

Thailand ranks as the ninth-largest investor among the 152 nations and regions investing in Ho Chi Minh City, with a total registered capital of 7.1 billion USD.

Quang praised the variety of Thai investments in the southern city, especially highlighting the significant contributions of major companies in green energy, trade, tourism, and culture. He reiterated that the local authorities will keep fostering an environment conducive for Thai companies to broaden their long-term activities.

Urawadee noted that economic connections have been enhanced by strong collaboration in diplomacy and cultural exchanges during the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Vietnam–Thailand diplomatic relations (August 6, 1976–2026). She confirmed that Thai companies are dedicated to increasing investment in Ho Chi Minh City, aiding its objective of reaching double-digit economic growth.

Representatives from Thai companies also provided updates on their investment activities in Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City, while Quang proposed investment directions that align with the city’s new development priorities.

Upon meeting the Cambodian diplomat, Quang expressed his congratulations on the new role while highlighting the unique neighborly ties, extensive collaboration, and enduring friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia. He conveyed assurance that the Consul General will act as a strong link to enhance collaboration between the two nations and between Ho Chi Minh City and Cambodian regions. He also disclosed intentions for city delegations to travel to Cambodia to encourage stronger collaboration.

Luon committed to collaborating closely with the city's officials to execute effective cooperation initiatives, helping to strengthen the bilateral relationship further.

During his meeting with Philippine Consul General Querobine Deapera Laccay, Quang expressed condolences for the damage caused by repeated storms and floods in the Philippines, especially on Luzon Island. He commended the strength of the Filipino people, stating that their resolve in facing natural disasters provides crucial insights for disaster-afflicted communities in Vietnam.
