Hyundai Motor CEO Calls for Resilience, Adaptability

According to Hyundai Motor, CEO Jose Munoz has encouraged employees and executives to develop a stronger sense of resilience and adaptability to support the company's sustainable growth and transition into the leading player in the future of mobility.
“As I reflect on my first year as CEO, I am grateful for the dedication and resilience of our global team,” he said during the 2025 Leaders Talk, the carmaker’s town hall meeting.

“The automotive industry is transforming faster than ever, but I have never been more confident in our ability to navigate what’s ahead,” he said. “Our success in 2025 proved that adapting is truly part of our DNA.”
Hyundai Motor held the event to communicate its plans for the coming year and underscore its dedication to adaptability, creativity, and environmentally-friendly expansion.
About 200 executives and employees participated in the event held at the carmaker's office in Seoul, while approximately 7,500 other officials attended the event virtually.
The car manufacturer's CEO also restated their dedication to reaching 5.55 million worldwide vehicle sales by 2030.
The company anticipates that electric vehicles will make up over 60 percent of the overall sales, with approximately 3.3 million units sold.

North America, Europe, and Korea are key growth markets for the carmaker's environmentally friendly vehicles.
Hyundai Motor aims to increase its hybrid vehicle range to over 18 models by the year 2030, which will include the release of Genesis hybrid models in 2026. The car manufacturer also showcased its plans to enhance Genesis' luxury image by aiming for annual sales of 350,000 by the year 2030.
Munoz went on to encourage employees to embrace change and prepare for long-term growth.
“Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair’s Progress for Humanity vision is a commitment to make mobility safer, more sustainable and more accessible for everyone,” he said.
