Intel Corporation has named new leaders for its Sales, Marketing, and Communications Group (SMG) in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region, as well as the India region, as part of its continuous transformation initiatives. With immediate effect, Hans Chuang has been assigned the role of General Manager of SMG Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). Operating from Taiwan, Hans will oversee Intel’s business across the APJ region, focusing on boosting revenue, fostering partnerships within the local ecosystem to generate fresh prospects, and enhancing ties with current customers and partners.

Hans holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from McGill University. “Intel is transforming, and I am excited to lead the company’s growth and innovation in APJ, one of the most diverse and fastest-growing regions for Intel. Leveraging the strength of our partners and continuing our commitment to building an open ecosystem that serves our customers in a transparent and secure manner is going to be key to our long-term success here in the APJ region”, said Hans.

In March of this year, Intel unveiled India as an independent region within its SMG structure, aiming to harness the country’s swift expansion and business prospects. Santhosh Viswanathan, serving as VP and Managing Director of the India region, will helm this freshly established area, leveraging his skills to foster value and prioritize customer-centric approaches.

“We see massive business opportunities and growing momentum in India. By creating a separate region, we are enabling our teams, including our strong engineering base in India, to work closely with our customers. It is a very exciting time for Intel in India, and I am thrilled to lead our business in the country”, said Santhosh. Santhosh holds an engineering degree in Industrial Engineering and Management and a master’s degree in business administration.

Hans and Santhosh bring substantial leadership backgrounds within Intel, recognized for their steadfast commitment to delivering results for Intel's clientele. The selection of Hans Chuang and Santhosh Viswanathan to head Intel's SMG divisions in APJ and India underscores the company's strategic emphasis on adapting organizational frameworks to shifting market landscapes. Through harnessing its internal leadership pool, Intel seeks to bolster its agility and efficiency in navigating the distinct opportunities and hurdles within each region, positioning itself for enduring prosperity in these expanding markets.
