
KPIT Technologies Opens Software Engineering Center in Tunisia

The opening of KPIT Technologies' new Software Engineering Center in Sfax, Tunisia, has been announced.
Key figures from Tunisia's automotive industry, investment authorities, academic institutions, and KPIT's worldwide leadership attended the inaugural ceremony, which marked a significant advancement in the company's goal to rethink mobility in partnership with both domestic and international partners.
A key node in the company's worldwide innovation ecosystem, it is positioned as a Center of Excellence and is expected to play a significant role in advancing mobility and software engineering technologies.
Commenting on the inauguration, Anup Sable, CTO, KPIT Technologies, said: “Mobility leaders around the world are navigating complex transformations — dynamic trade environment, needing to innovate at speed and scale while substantially saving costs”.
“Our new center in Tunisia will be developed as a center of excellence to drive innovation in propulsion software, vehicle network development, validation and further expand in other domains. The center will also become strategic to deliver for European OEMs with location and timezone advantages for agility and scale.”
The center's strategic location draws top software engineering talent from Tunisia and gives them the chance to collaborate on challenging global mobility technology problems.
Additionally, it will increase the chances for the more than 500 KPITians now stationed in Tunisia to collaborate with international mobility OEMS.
The Tunisia center will increase KPIT's capacity to provide state-of-the-art software, hardware design, and manufacturing engineering solutions while acting as a nearshore hub for OEMs seeking to broaden their worldwide engineering capabilities.
KPIT has been a strategic partner to top European mobility OEMs for more than 20 years.
In addition to strengthening its global distribution network that includes the US, Germany, France, Japan, China, Thailand, and India, KPIT's growth in Tunisia reaffirms its commitments to OEMs in Germany, the UK, France, and Italy.
