OpenAI has named Kim Kyoung-hoon, who previously served as the country leader for Google Korea, as the first head of OpenAI Korea.

The organization revealed its new regional office leader, stating that Kim will oversee OpenAI Korea with the goal of facilitating a significant artificial intelligence transformation within the nation, leveraging his broad expertise in global strategy and innovation.

This hiring decision occurs as the organization has encountered increasing demand for its technologies throughout Korea. During the previous year, ChatGPT's weekly active user base has grown by more than four times.
