Party Leader Hails Contributions of Vietnamese Communities

During the occasion, which formed part of the leader's state visit to Finland, Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Thi Thanh Binh provided an update on the Embassy's activities in Finland and the circumstances of Vietnamese citizens across Nordic countries.
She emphasized that the partnership between Vietnam and Finland serves as an exemplary model of how development cooperation can successfully evolve into an equal partnership, noting that Vietnam has emerged as Finland's primary trade partner within Southeast Asia.

The creation of a strategic partnership throughout this visit represented a significant milestone in bilateral relations, which have become more robust, reliable, and wide-ranging than previously experienced. This development also creates opportunities for more regular high-level diplomatic exchanges, broader political discussions, and enhanced strategic consultations, according to her statement.
Binh additionally committed to continuous dedication in acting as a connector to help the Vietnamese diaspora maintain stronger ties with their native country while improving their integration and growth within their host nation.

Concurrently, Vietnamese Ambassador to Denmark Nguyen Le Thanh observed the collaborative possibilities between the two nations and suggested various approaches for strengthening their connections.
During his comments, General Secretary Lam confirmed that both the Party and State consistently acknowledge and value perspectives that aim to enhance Vietnam's importance and international standing.
He committed to establishing optimal circumstances for Vietnamese expatriates to successfully assimilate into their host nations, emphasizing this as a priority that the Party and State have continuously prioritized.
Vietnamese living abroad have made significant contributions to their adopted countries while simultaneously serving as cultural representatives who strengthen Vietnam's international relationships, he noted.

The Party leader praised the unity and homeland contributions of Vietnamese communities in Finland and other Nordic countries, while commending the excellent work of the diplomatic missions in those regions.
He further emphasized the elevation of Vietnam-Finland ties to a strategic partnership level, creating new avenues for collaboration with ongoing development of economic and commercial links, identifying science and technology cooperation as a promising sector and fundamental foundation, alongside valuable prospects in innovation, environmental sustainability efforts, farming, digitalization, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, cultural affairs, interpersonal connections, travel industry, and educational development.
