President Prabowo Subianto and his accompanying group embarked from the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta for an official trip to Washington DC, US. President Prabowo is reported to be traveling with Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, according to reports.
The President has a planned bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump to engage in discussions regarding enhancing the relationship between Indonesia and the US, as well as exploring opportunities for strategic collaboration in multiple sectors.

The visit is part of Indonesia's proactive diplomatic initiatives aimed at strengthening its national position in the face of changing global geopolitical dynamics.
President Prabowo Subianto has scheduled a visit to the US on February 19, 2026, for the purpose of signing a bilateral trade agreement, and to participate in the inaugural session of the Peace Board.
Starting this week, the President convened a meeting with numerous economic ministers at his private residence in Hambalang, Bogor, in order to deliberate on Indonesia's strategic course in economic negotiations.
Two main emphases were highlighted. Initially, it was stressed that the government should guarantee that each stance taken in negotiations serves the best interests of the nation.
