Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has reiterated the nation's dedication to a free and proactive foreign policy, emphasizing Jakarta's stance of non-alignment and commitment to maintaining relationships with all major global powers in the face of escalating geopolitical tensions.

He mentioned that Indonesia upholds its respect for all nations and influential entities worldwide while engaging with diverse groups without aligning with any particular side in global disputes.

"We respect all powers, we respect all countries. That is Indonesia. Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (unity in diversity) at home, and externally, we also respect all nations, respect all religions, respect all races, and respect all ethnic groups,” he said in a live broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel.

Despite being located far from major conflict areas, Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia will inevitably be influenced by the interconnectedness of the world. He mentioned that increasing geopolitical tensions may also present economic and political obstacles for the nation.

"We face difficulties with the determination to overcome them. We do not hide from difficulties, nor do we pretend they do not exist,” he says.

Prabowo formally opened 218 bridges in various locations, including regions affected by disasters like Aceh. He commended the Indonesian National Armed Forces for their expedient completion of the construction projects.
