Top Leader Advocates for Modern Missile Capabilities

General Secretary and State President Lam commended the force's remarkable accomplishments, emphasizing that Vietnam's swift and sustainable growth necessitates a robust national defense, with the artillery-missile force being a crucial component of combat strength.

The leader urged the force to maintain steadfastness in political principles, adherence, technological skills, military strategy, and soldier welfare, while creating a clean, robust Party organization, model units, strict compliance, and strong internal unity.

The Party and State leader also encouraged the force to improve its organizational framework, boost strategic advisory capabilities, and reinforce the artillery-missile stance within the nationwide defense effort. He emphasized that streamlining should lead to enhanced strength, mobility, precision, and effectiveness, while modernisation must include personnel, organisation, command, training, logistics, technology, and combat techniques, not just new weapons.

He directed the command to actively inform the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense regarding force planning, strategic deployment, organizational structure, and combat strategies, ensuring the force stays efficient, contemporary, agile, sustainable, and adapted to Vietnam's circumstances.

General Secretary and State President Lam urged for enhanced innovation in training, education, exercises, and combat readiness, stressing that training should equip troops to fight and prevail in the toughest situations.

 

He emphasized the significance of mastering science and technology, digital transformation, modernizing weapons, logistics, technical support, and the defense sector, while improving maintenance, repair, software, ammunition, and other essential technologies. He also called for rigorous oversight of weapons, gear, and military information to guarantee security and effectiveness.

The leader states that officers and soldiers need to have solid political resolve, expert skills, rigorous discipline, technological insight, a creative approach, and the capability to swiftly adapt while mastering contemporary tools, information, processes, and their own behaviors.

He also urged the enhancement of the admirable traits of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers" and the betterment of the troops' welfare.

The force was additionally prompted to persist in mass mobilization, appreciation initiatives, and aid for local political structures, contributing to the enhancement of the community-oriented defense stance. He stated that a powerful combat force needs to be established on a robust basis of public confidence.

Highlighting confidence in the force's valorous history, the Party and State leader reiterated the commitment to develop a contemporary artillery-missile Force able to safeguard the Fatherland from a distance and at an early stage by leveraging technological expertise and advanced combat skills.

He urged the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defence, central agencies, local authorities, military services, academies, research institutes, and defense enterprises to persist in assisting the artillery-missile force in accomplishing its tasks.
