Trump, UAE's President Talk Ties, Developments in West Asia

The President of the UAE, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was contacted through telephone by the President of the US, Donald Trump to speak about strategic collaboration and explored methods to enhance the relationship between the UAE and the US, aiming to advance shared interests.
According to reports, the leaders engaged in a dialogue to share perspectives on the recent advancements occurring in the West Asia region.

They conveyed that President Al Nahyan was also contacted through telephone by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
During the conversation, the parties deliberated on the brotherly relations and explored multiple dimensions of collaboration and coordination between the two nations. The parties also assessed regional developments and their profound implications for both regional and international security and stability.
Furthermore, they discussed the ongoing efforts to address these issues, according to reports. As the circumstances in West Asia and the Gulf region keep unfolding following the unrest in Iran, Qatar expressed strong condemnation regarding the penetration of Bubiyan Island by an armed faction linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guards. Qatar stated that the group intended to execute aggressive acts against Kuwait.

According to the Qatar Foreign Ministry, the individuals were detained subsequent to confrontations with Kuwaiti military personnel. This altercation led to the wounding of a Kuwaiti armed forces member.
Qatar emphasized the necessity of ceasing Iranian assaults on neighboring countries, describing them as a blatant violation of international law and a significant menace to regional stability. Concurrently, Press TV announced that during discussions with Norway's Deputy Foreign Minister in a meeting held in Tehran, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi identified the primary obstacle to peace as the deep-seated mistrust in the US' actions.
Reports indicated that Araghchi stated that the absence of genuine goodwill and the deceitful actions of the US represent the primary hindrance to conclusively ending the conflict.

During a telephone conversation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, deliberated on the regional developments with Anita Anand, the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Canada, in the wake of the recent Iranian missile attacks aimed at the United Arab Emirates and several allied and friendly nations.
The two parties evaluated recent developments concerning President Donald Trump's announcement of a temporary ceasefire between the US and Iran, which is set for a duration of two weeks. They also deliberated on the significance of bolstering international collaboration to establish lasting peace in the region and to protect both regional and global peace and security.
