UAE Based Mashreq Hires Razek As Group Head of Technology

As the Group Head of Technology, Transformation & Information, Mohamed Abdel Razek has been hired by Mashreq, one of the top financial institutions in the Mena region. 
 
He will oversee Mashreq's technology division in this capacity and ensure that all digital services are successfully delivered. He will be in charge of implementing cutting-edge technology, making sure consumers receive excellent service, and working effectively with outside partners.

With over 30 years of expertise in the field, Razek has managed both group and regional IT operations for major organisations. His time with Standard Chartered Bank, where he has been affiliated since 2015 and most recently served as Chief Technology and Operations Officer for Africa and the Middle East, is noteworthy. From 2007 through 2015, Razek worked at British American Tobacco, most recently as the company's global head of technology services.
 
He graduated from Canada's McGill University with a degree in electrical engineering. His considerable technological and managerial experience, along with his understanding of the digital transition, will be crucial in guiding Mashreq's technology organisation to success.
