Vu Thi Minh Ngoc, who leads the Trade Infrastructure division in the Domestic Market Department, emphasized that recent agreements between two parties have established a crucial legal framework for enhancing border infrastructure. She pointed out that the implementation of digital border processes and single-stop models has resulted in reduced clearance times and enhanced freight capacity on major routes like Moc Bai–Phnom Penh and Tinh Bien–Takeo

She highlighted that the border area between Vietnam and Cambodia, which includes important international gates like Moc Bai, Xa Mat, Tinh Bien, Khanh Binh, and Ha Tien, has the possibility of evolving into a trading hub for ASEAN.

Ngoc stated that although there have been enhancements in infrastructure, numerous markets and logistics centers are still outdated, disjointed, and lack coordinated planning. Nguyen Duy Linh Thao, Deputy Director of An Giang's Department of Industry and Trade, stated that the province's focus is on improving logistics infrastructure at Tinh Bien, Khanh Binh, and Ha Tien border-gate economic zones.

This includes the construction of bonded and cold-storage warehouses, as well as new transportation connections. She mentioned that An Giang intends to speed up its digital transformation, improve border markets, and introduce new commercial services like duty-free shopping and international logistics.
