APEC CEO Summit to Serve as Platform for Insights into Future
The forthcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit is anticipated to function as a venue where international business executives can exchange perspectives on the global economy's trajectory and technological advancement, featuring notable corporate leaders who will present their expertise.
This CEO Summit represents an official component of the 2025 APEC agenda taking place in Gyeongju, located in North Gyeongsang Province.
In contrast to other gatherings that primarily emphasize economic policies and governmental strategies for regional development, this summit is organized by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), a private sector entity, and concentrates on pragmatic business dialogue, cutting-edge technologies, and developing industrial patterns.

Scheduled to occur from October 28 through 31 throughout this historical city, the gathering is projected to attract 1,700 delegates and representatives from APEC member economies and major global corporations.
The summit's most prominent participant is arguably Jensen Huang, Nvidia's CEO, who will conduct a special presentation at the Gyeongju Arts Center on October 31 at 4 p.m.
According to Nvidia, Huang plans to participate in order to present the corporation's outlook for advancing technological progress and worldwide expansion, particularly in Korea, spanning artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, digital twin systems, and self-driving vehicles.
Additional anticipated participants include Masayoshi Son, SoftBank's CEO, and Sam Altman, OpenAI's CEO. These two executives, together with Nvidia's chief executive, represent central personalities in the Stargate initiative, a $500 billion collaborative enterprise involving OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank aimed at developing AI infrastructure within the United States.

Given these circumstances, there is growing anticipation that these leaders might engage in discussions about AI collaboration with Korean business executives during the summit, especially with Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Lee Jae-yong and KCCI and SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, both of whom have confirmed their involvement in the Stargate project.
The CEO Summit operates under the theme "Bridge, Business, Beyond," which will frame discussions on critical worldwide matters including regional economic integration, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, sustainability, finance and investment, along with biotechnology and healthcare.
