Prabowo Claims Forest Task Force Saves 10 Percent State Budget

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto asserted that the Forest Area Regulation Task Force (Satgas PKH) has effectively restored forest lands valued at Rp370 trillion.
"What the Satgas PKH has done in the past year and a half has saved nearly 10 percent of the state budget," Prabowo said at the Attorney General's Office in South Jakarta.

This declaration was made during his participation in the transfer of Rp11.42 trillion from the Satgas PKH to the national treasury.
He made a rough calculation suggesting that the government could allocate Rp370 trillion towards enhancing educational facilities and infrastructure in various regions of Indonesia, including the construction of numerous bridges in remote areas.
Prabowo expressed optimism about the potential transformation in the lives of citizens through the successful retrieval and utilization of funds and assets by his associates.
Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin announced that since its establishment in February 2025, the Satgas PKH has successfully restored 5.88 million hectares of palm oil plantation land into forested areas.
Furthermore, within the mining industry, the Satgas PKH has also restored forested regions totaling 10,257.22 hectares. The Task Force on Poverty Alleviation (Satgas PKH) restored forest land to various ministries and agencies as part of the overall effort to reclaim previously occupied areas.

A conservation forest area spanning 254,780.12 hectares was entrusted to the Ministry of Forestry.
This expanse encompasses convertible production forests situated in the Ketapang Regency of West Kalimantan, totaling 149,198.09 hectares, the Lae Kombih Grand Forest Park in Subulussalam, Aceh, measuring 510.03 hectares, and the Mount Halimun Salak Forest Conservation Group in Bogor, West Java, covering 105,072 hectares.
In the meantime, a parcel of land measuring 30,543.40 hectares was re-assigned from the Satgas PKH to the Ministry of Finance, subsequently transferred to the Danantara Investment Management Agency, and eventually entrusted to PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero).
Today, an amount of Rp11.42 trillion was transferred to the state treasury, comprising administrative fines from the forestry sector totaling Rp7.23 trillion and Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) derived from corruption investigations at the Indonesian Attorney General's Office totaling Rp1.96 trillion.

Moreover, in the period from January to April 2026, a total of Rp967.77 billion was collected in tax payments. Specifically, on February 28, 2026, Rp108.57 billion was received from PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara. Additionally, revenue from environmental fines reached Rp1.14 trillion.
