Top Vietnamese Legislator Meets Visiting Jordanian King
Tran Thanh Man, the Chairman of the National Assembly, convened a meeting with Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, the monarch of Jordan, who is currently visiting Vietnam on an official two-day diplomatic trip.
Greeting King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein and his accompanying delegation, the Chairman noted that this visit, coinciding with the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Jordan (1980–2025), represents a significant turning point and initiates a new phase of more comprehensive and productive collaboration between the two nations.

He emphasized that notwithstanding the significant physical separation between their countries, Vietnam and Jordan maintain a strong and warm diplomatic connection characterized by mutual understanding, equal standing, and reciprocal advantages, which ultimately supports broader goals of promoting peace, regional harmony, and global progress.
The leader expressed significant praise for Jordan's substantial contributions toward fostering peace, maintaining regional stability, and supporting economic development across the Middle East. Additionally, the leader commended King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein's exceptional leadership in championing humanitarian principles, promoting social equity, and addressing global food security challenges.
Vietnam expressed its commitment to developing diverse and mutually advantageous collaborative relationships with Jordan.
The Vietnamese parliamentary body will work to establish supportive legal structures and guidelines that enhance bilateral relations, while also monitoring the execution of joint agreements to strengthen overall diplomatic connections.

King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein personally expressed his condolences to Vietnam regarding the recent devastating natural calamities that resulted in both human casualties and significant material damage.
The monarch conveyed his deep respect for the Vietnamese population's remarkable ability to persevere, their strong work ethic, and innovative spirit, while also offering praise for Vietnam's significant social and economic progress during the recent period.
Given that both nations are rapidly advancing their social and economic growth strategies, the monarch conveyed his optimism that the two nations will strengthen collaborative efforts across multiple domains, with special emphasis on engaging their respective business communities.
The Chairman recommended enhancing bilateral connections through various exchange initiatives, including academic scholarships, student programs, tourism, and cultural events to foster understanding between the younger populations of both countries. In turn, King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein recommended exploring the possibility of establishing a direct flight route between the two nations.

The two leaders emphasized the significance of parliamentary collaboration as a crucial element in strengthening their mutual diplomatic ties.
