UAE President, Italy Defence Minister Talk Security Ties

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, welcomed His Excellency Guido Crosetto, Minister of Defence of Italy, to talk about bilateral relations and developments in regional security.
In the meeting, Crosetto shared Giorgia Meloni's greetings, the Prime Minister of Italy, along with her hopes for the ongoing security and prosperity of the UAE.
The talks centered on improving partnerships between the United Arab Emirates and Italy, especially regarding defence and security, as both parties investigated ways to deepen strategic cooperation.
The two parties also discussed progress in the Middle East and its effects on both regional and global stability, including the influence on maritime safety.
Crosetto reaffirmed Italy’s denunciation of Iranian assaults on the UAE and other nations in the area, characterizing them as breaches of sovereignty and international law that threaten regional peace and stability.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Mazrouei were present at the meeting, accompanied by various high-ranking officials.

The collaboration illustrates the strengthening strategic alliance between the UAE and Italy, especially in tackling emerging regional security issues and fostering stability.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE's Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday announced the construction of the new 24-km Gold Line of the Dubai Metro, which will have a budget of AED 34 billion.
Sheikh Mohammed announced on his official social media that the new Dubai Metro will "traverse 15 essential strategic locations throughout the city, benefit around 1.5 million residents and over 465,000 daily users by 2040, and enhance links to 55 significant real estate projects currently underway".
The route will extend from Al Ghubaiba in historic Dubai (north) to Jumeirah Golf Estates.

The Gold Line, he mentioned, will extend the Dubai Metro network by 35 per cent - growing from 120km to 162km - and is projected to be finished by 9/9/2032.
Sheikh Mohammed stated that our major initiatives to establish Dubai as the premier city to reside in are progressing as planned. Our upcoming efforts will not cease; instead, they will intensify.
