Viet Nam, Singapore Boost Digital Trade, Business Connectivity
Arobid Technology Joint Stock Company and the International Business Federation Viet Nam Singapore (IBF Viet Nam Singapore) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) during the Viet Nam–Singapore Investment and Trading Forum 2026 and the 10th anniversary of the Viet Nam–ASEAN Economic Cooperation Forum 2026 in Singapore.
The Viet Nam–ASEAN Economic Cooperation Forum, established in 2017, is a significant yearly gathering that takes place in different countries within the region. Its main goal is to boost economic ties, trade relations, and investment opportunities, as well as to improve the competitiveness and reputation of businesses in ASEAN.

The tenth edition of the forum in 2026 will bring together many business leaders, international industry associations, experts, and investors for in-depth discussions, B2B networking, and brand promotion activities. Arobid and IBF Viet Nam Singapore have agreed to work together on a shared digital infrastructure model for global trade and investment promotion.
This model will operate on an artificial intelligence platform. The goal of this initiative is to create a cross-border trading ecosystem that brings together enterprises, organizations, and investors on a single platform.
IBF Viet Nam Singapore will act as a central hub for linking businesses and investors in Singapore and around the world, as well as increasing trade on Arobid's digital platform within this framework. Arobid has previously implemented its digital infrastructure in various international markets such as the Republic of Korea (RoK), the US, and Singapore.
This has laid the groundwork for establishing a universal digital infrastructure model for promoting trade and investment.
In 2026, the company aims to host approximately 120 virtual trade fairs and exhibitions, create tens of thousands of online booths, and ensure a seamless flow of trade in the digital realm. During the event, Chairman Tran Van Chin of Arobid mentioned that the company's main focus is on managing digital infrastructure for trade and investment promotion rather than directly organizing trade fairs.
This enables global organizations to participate and make use of the digital infrastructure through a shared-use model, which helps enhance connectivity efficiency and decrease operational expenses. Meanwhile, the Chairwoman of IBF Viet Nam Singapore, Dang Thi Minh Anh, noted that joining Arobid's global digital infrastructure provides great chances for Singaporean and international businesses to reach the Vietnamese and regional markets.

This is especially important as the Viet Nam-Singapore relations were elevated to a comprehensive strategic partnership in March 2025. Additionally, Trade Counsellor of Viet Nam in Singapore, Cao Xuan Thang, highlighted the strong resilience of ASEAN in the face of global economic uncertainties. He also noted that Viet Nam is becoming a vibrant and promising destination due to its consistent growth, youthful labor force, and growing competitiveness in the business sector.
By actively engaging in free trade agreements, Viet Nam has been able to broaden its market reach and establish itself as a key player in the ASEAN region, which boasts a population of nearly 700 million people. Thang also mentioned that Vietnam is speeding up its digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable development, creating various possibilities for collaboration in fields like e-commerce, fintech, renewable energy, and high-tech agriculture.
