Singapore's success can be attributed to its excellent infrastructure, IT hub, stable political environment, lucrative foreign policies, transparent financial transactions, and zero corruption. Thousands of entrepreneurs choose Singapore as their new home to start a business each year for these and many other reasons. Singapore not only has a successful free-market economy but also relies primarily on finance, trade, and manufacturing for growth. 75 percent of the country's GDP comes from the services sector and it employs about 80 percent of the eligible workforce. Singapore has a low unemployment rate and low inflation.
Importance of CEOs: The Chief Executive Officer provides leadership for all aspects of the company's operations with an emphasis on long-term goals, growth, profit, and return on investment. The CEO is responsible for making major corporate decisions, managing overall operations, and setting the company's strategic direction. They are accountable to the board of directors or stakeholders of the company and are often the public face of the organization. Roles & Skills Required: A CEO is responsible for the overall success and failure of the company. Along with it, CEOs are in charge of crucial corporate choices like unionization, business restructuring, or capital allocation. The Board of Directors, a group of individuals chosen by the company's shareholders to represent them, holds the CEO accountable for performing his duties. Even with the presence of a Chief Financial Officer in a company, the CEO still has to make financial decisions. The CEO is in charge of creating annual budgets for capital allocation that take into account variables and the desired valuation for the year. The CEOs estimate projected costs, income, and profitability for the following year when creating the annual budgets.
